The day we have all been waiting and preparing for is
closing in and with hours to spare, last preparations and packing to be done the
excitement is rapidly building up.

Municipality
09h00 Teams
move to the Norther side of the Mark Street Bridge where boats will be prepared
for the departure (60km) to Zonquasdrift, Gouda
09h45 Local
schools and others will have the opportunity to hand over their valued
contributions. Doves released. This will be followed by a wreath laying
cenermony by Reitef Krige and Leana Matthee.
10h00 Firs
leg to Zonquasdirt. Teams will be set off by the Mayor, Drakenstein
Municipality. Pilot OBat: Gys Boonzaaier and Ettiene Marais.
11h30 Arrival
at Skooltjie. Dependant on the water level of the river, the boat will be taken
to the farm Rondeheuwel, Hermon.
12h30 Arrival
at Rondeheuwel. Lunch sponsored by Colin Davidsowits and Mr Evert Kotze will be
served
14h30 Teams depart (15km) to
Zonquasdrift.
16h00 Expeted
time of arrival at Zonquasdrift. All boats will be loaded onto trailers and
taken to the Gouda Hotel (10km) where the teams will
over-night
19h00 Dinner
and auction in the dining hall of the Gouda Hotel.
